Game w/ Assets and Mechanics Feedback (Xiaowen)
For our second playtest, we received many feedback regarding mechanics, arts, sounds. Many playtesters said that they like the style and space for exploration. For the sounds part in our game, I try to have different background music when player inside village and in the forest, but both music is playing in a weird speed when player moves. When player press shift to increase speed, the background music is also increase in speed, which sounds glitches. And music are not quite cover up all the area I was expect to, or they overlap in a weird pitch. Some of the feedback we received were adjust the music or sounds. Some playtesters suggest to have a fade effect when player move from one area to other when the music change. Also, put in sound effects for collecting items. Other feedbacks were the fences were moving when the player looking in a far angle, and we were suggested to put some kind of sign within the map since the overall area is quite big.
I am planning to remake the audio collider using pro builder to see if I could cover up the whole area instead of changing the 3D sound setting. Also write a script that active the sound when player enters the area it active the sound instead of update the sound source when player plays. I will try to make the fade effect for the audio. I am also plan to check the render of the prefabs to see what cause the of the fences moving.
