After doing a midpoint presentation, we have received lots of feedback to help us fine-tune the project for the final presentation. In terms of the art, the main comment was to adjust the particle systems to match the art style. I've also added a portal made from rock prefabs and a point light in the center, but the light source still needs to be adjusted. My team members find it to be a bit too intense. Sadly there have been problems with the character models and animation so we are still lacking in animation. Other than these adjustments, the art assets portion of the game is nearly done.
